The Big Africa Cycle goes live

July 24th, 2009 by Peter Gostelow

It’s been a while in the waiting, but earlier this week my new website finally went live. There is still some work to be done, but it’s obviously a work in progress as The Big Africa Cycle gets underway. Most of my updates throughout the rest of 2009 and 2010 will be posted over at the Big Africa Cycle.

If you’ve subcribed to my newsletter and want to follow my ongoing bicycle adventure in Africa, click here to be taken to that page. Any comments and suggestions you have about the new site would be much appreciated. Do please get in contact. Another way of keeping in touch is to join the facebook group or follow me on twitter, where I will be updating the site with SMS messages from my mobile. Thanks again.

    Hi Peter,

Just wondering how you took those great photos of yourself and bike (and the stunning scenery) during your Long Ride Home blog? Guess you had a tripod and a remote, but would like to hear from you how you did it and if you have any recommendations? Tripods are an awefully cumbersome things to carry, even on a bike. Would appreciate your input.

    Regards, Adam

    Hey Peter!

I just found your site and wanted to say that I’m in awe. The trip you’ve done and the stuff you have planned are both pretty amazing and reading sites like yours always makes me wonder why I haven’t hopped on a bike yet for some long distance trips.

I’m off to explore more of your new site. I’m heading to Africa next year… maybe a bike trip is on the cards? We’ll see!

    Take care,
    Kirsty

    Good morning Peter,
from Cebu, Phillipines. How did you enjoy those figs for breakfast? looking more in depth at your route and wondered what mileage you’re doing per day? How is the terrain and surfaces? as I read your journey updates the more, the more I’m wanting to tune in. Keep going old chap, wonderful stuff.
So far peter, how’s the body and equipment holding up?
